Jerry Garcia’s 70th Birthday Celebration
Bob Weir hosted this show from his San Rafael, CA webcasting facility, TRI Studios, on August 3, 2012. The show was streamed live in celebration of Jerry Garcia’s 70th birthday. The star-studded show was uploaded to You Tube in honor of the 17th anniversary of Garcia’s death on August 9, 1995.
Unfortunately, this show has been removed from YouTube …
TRI Studios has offered a DVD of this recording, and as such, it is no longer available in the public domain. Understandable, but disappointing nonetheless.
I’ll keep this post live on this site, in anticipation that TRI may re-release it for public consumption.
The show is long, four-and-a-half hours, but filled with shining moments throughout. This was an amazing performance, by a multitude of talented personalities, all of whom seem to share the gift that Jerry so aptly personified: Music is a Joyous Holy Experience, to be shared and appreciated with the folks immediately around you, and projected into the entire Universe at every moment.

Why In The World Would I Want A Website?
Yeah, I know I need one … I mean, every other company has one, so I should want a website too, right?
But what on earth am I gonna do with it? Will it really help my business? How can I be sure it will actually benefit me and my bottom line?
And how much is all of this gonna cost? Sheesh, I’m not even sure this world wide web thing’s gonna last … maybe it’s just a fad? Continue reading →

Had another long day? Need to unwind just a bit?
Well take a hint from the fox, and just kick back for a moment
Here’s one of my favorite recipes, reasonably healthy too!
Snacking on a hunk of beef jerky instead of your typical carb-laden snacks provides your body with needed proteins, while avoiding the crash you might feel after a small bag of chips or a candy bar.
This Killer Beef Jerky Recipe is easy to make, doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, and actually gains friends!
Here’s a simple beef jerky recipe. I’ll be making some later this week, so I’ll add pictures or a video when I do that. For now, I’ll just write the words.
A Great Tasting Low-Carb Snack
Looking for a high protein, low-carb crispy snack?
Try this great alternative to your everyday chips.
Baked Crunchy Cheese Crispies!
I was first introduced to this great low-carb snack about ten years ago. At the time I simply purchased bags of them at a local health food store. Since that time, however, I have found a couple recipes that are easy to make, are far less expensive, and (in my opinion) actually taste better! Plus, if you make your own cheese crunchies, you can add just about any additional flavors you like, either to the whole batch or to just some of the chips in the batch.
